Yeah, India did nothing to spark much optimism in 2018 and 2019 in the minors. Then after a huge break thanks to the pandemic he came into 2021 on fire, won the starting gig and won ROY. If anything he was the opposite of Senzel as far as success in the minors and how they started off in the majors.

Of course you would actually have to watch college baseball to know who he is.
So you are a Gator fan?

Senzel and India were largely one year wonders in college. Their junior years were out of line with the rest of their numbers. Give me the hitter who has remained consistent with high numbers, including a k/bb ratio <1 for at least one previous year. This year, that's Kurtz.

That's true as well. If I remember correctly the consensus hope was that Madrigal would fall to #5.

India had late helium, he wasn’t even considered a first round pick until pretty late in the process. Senzel was considered a first round pick, but not number 2 overall until late in the process. Senzel’s draft was one of the weakest in history, though. He wouldn’t even considered a top 10 pick in this years draft.

I personally remember being annoyed that we didn't take Brady Singer, but was ok with the India pick.
