The 2024 Jaguars - Oh no, we suck again

Well I'm back. Posting before a Jags London game with Pats. Ought to be a game Jags win, but you have no idea with this group. I also don't know who to root for. A Jags loss might hasten regime change which is what we need. But Shad Khan seems incapable of making sane decisions on who should run them team.

Whatever happens with Pederson, if Baalke doesn't go we are spinning our wheels. We need a clean sweep. HC and GM both gone. And hire from outside. Don't hire Asst GM Waugh.

If we lose I'd be totally cool (in fact my preference) to see Mike Vrabel hired as Interim HC and Robert Saleh as his DC.

Jags snuck out a win over Pats after falling behind 10-0. LT Cam Robinson went out with a concussion and his replacement Walker Little was much better. And backup running back Tank Bigsby continues to be better than starter Etienne. Going up against GB today. Will be interesting to see if the momentum and good feelings of last week remain.

This team is a catastrophe, and the biggest problem is the coaching. Jags got the ball with 6:03 left in the 2nd Quarter. Here are the stats at that point:
Lawrence 1-3 for 7 yards and an interception
Bigsby 5 carries for 8 yards
2 false start penalties
8 total plays ran

It feels like every game we come out like this on offense, with ZERO pulse. Lawrence was supposed to be a generational QB and they're handling him like a journeyman game managing QB.

Press Taylor should've been fired a long time ago and Pederson needs to go. At this point clean house and for the love of everything get Lawrence a young creative OC who knows what they're doing.

I don't understand how the Eagles were only 7-1/2 point favorites.

Seemed like a "fixed" trap game for bettors, most of whom would take the Eagles in this one easily.

As expected, PHI dominated them, but you have to wonder why they kept going for two (and not getting them), not taking the FG to go up my multiple scores (and above the spread), and other decisions. Barkley was ruled to have fumbled without getting touched, but he clearly lost his balance because of running into an opponent and that shouldn't have been a fumble, which became a TD for Jacksonville and 8 points, at that.

Well the latest in the clown show that is Jaguar fandom is supposedly now Trevor and Doug Pederson are supposedly on the outs. (Earlier of course Pederson and Baalke were reported to be feuding).

Cam Robinson traded after refusing to enter the game.

We find out that Trayvon Walker was able to make his big fumble recovery for a TD, not because the coaches had him on the field, but because he had won Rock, Paper, Scissors with Josh Hines-Allen.

And now Trevor has a hurt non-throwing shoulder, and may be out for the year if he has surgery. Doug says (in so many words) that he could play. It's just a pain management issue. Hey Trevor, did that bus hurt?

If it wasnt for the complete joke of a schedule after the next 2 games i'd say this team is a shoe-in for a top 3 pick, currently sitting at 2-8 with the Giants but with a weaker SOS. After at Detroit then a bye then home versus the Texans the schedule is at Tennessee, vs. the Jets, at Las Vegas, vs Tennessee, and at Indianapolis.

If we wind up with the #1 we'd have the option of drafting Travis Hunter or trading out to a team looking to trade up for a QB.

Getting the #1 would be a win-win. I don't see anyway we finish with the worst record in the NFL and this staff (and hopefully GM) keep their jobs.

I don't see the Cowboys winning another game. They look like a lock for the #1 pick.

Well, we enter the bye week. In shambles. Having suffered the worst loss in Jaguars history. A total collapse. At this point I'm about 90% sure Doug is fired Monday morning. But the critical thing is whether Baalke gets canned too, or whether his Svengali hold on Khan persists.

Khan continues to make simply the worst managerial choices. Here's his chance to do the right thing and clean house.

Mike Florio at Pro Football Talk thinks Baalke can talk Shad into coming back with Belichick as coach. It's just the kind of crap that Khan buys into.

Belichick is laughable. He'd be 73 years old and last I checked he's doing just fine in retirement with his 24-year-old girlfriend.

You want to actually make the right move for the franchise? You shouldve handed Ben Johnson a blank check on your way out of Ford Field.
