I want neither of them, actually. I'd like to see a change. I'd like to add Dalton Schultz to pair with Tanner Hudson at TE. Schultz is still effective, excellent around the goal-line, and he's not going to whiff on an assignment, always recognizing a blitz which would work perfectly with Burrow. I'd rather have a TE that catches the blitz recognition before it gets to the point of a RB having to pick it up. If the blitz is on the weakside, Burrow would recognize that and make the adjustment to his backfield, placing the RB on the same side, or put his TE in motion.

Perine is a 3rd down back, those guys are a dime a dozen. The Bengals need a starting caliber back who can carry a workload. Maybe Brown is that, I hope he is. They also need a reliable 3rd down back, but one that will be far cheaper than Perine.

I agree that Perine likely isn't our first or second choice. Just an option if better options don't pan out. However I don't think that the money would be a big deal. If the Bengals signed him as a FA my guess is he'd cost about $1.5 mill. His base right now is only $2.8mill

Here's who I've seen so far the Bengals have interviewed at the combine:

    Brock Bowers
    JaTavion Sanders
    Chop Robinson
    Jared Verse

Also said to be targeting OL, IDL (Readers replacement) and CB in the first round.

Plus punter would be addressed as well.

Bowers may be in for a fallshowed up at combine at 245 which is 20 pounds heavier than he played at Georgia though he is recovering from injury. Decided to not do any drills as well.

Rumors he didn't come across well in team interviews also, but who knows what is true in this stage.

I really just want an OT.

Drafting Bowers would be a huge mistake and waste of a top pick.

Sean Brewer Bengals legend….3rd round pick. Not sure what they were thinking on that one Bengals PR actually had to reach out to Dave-Te Thomas to get background information on him which wasn’t glowing. It’s sad that’s what many remember about that draft as the 2001 draft was actually really good Bengals took Justin Smith, Ocho Cinco, Rudi Johnson, and TJ that year.
