    2024 Kentucky Wildcats Football

Liam Coen goes back to the NFL. This time at least he gets to call plays.

NCAA Puts Kentucky Football On Probation, Vacating Wins

The NCAA put Kentucky football on two-years probation and vacated wins from the Wildcats program on Friday, the organization announced.

Kentucky committed NCAA violations when at least 11 football student athletes received payment for work they did not do. The NCAA’s release doesn’t clarify where the jobs were at but previous reports indicated that they occurred at the university hospital.

This is the worst QB play I've seen from a power 5 offense in a long time. The Wildcat QB has 2 completed passes for positive yards and we're in the 4th qtr. Piss poor. I don't know what's worse, the QB play or the O-line

Lexington lost a rare opportunity to host ESPN Gameday. These opportunities don't come along very often for Lexington. If they'd beaten South Carolina like they were supposed to, Gameday was planning to come for the Georgia game this weekend. Instead they're going to Columbia, SC

At some point I think fans have to question the man in charge.

Stoops nearly left for Texas A&M last year if not for a fan revolt. Between that and telling fans to "pony up" if they wanted a successful football team.

I think he's gone after this year. That's not to underscore his accomplishments here but he's the Kirk Ferentz of the SEC. Good enough to win with a fanbase that's not real crazy about football which leads to job security but with NIL being a factor I think he will look for greener pastures like Calipari did.

Growing up a UK fan in the late 70’s and 80’s, I remember saying how fans like myself were easy to please with “6 Wins and a bowl” was all we asked for.
Granted Stoops has had a couple of 10 win seasons but the SEC was there for the taking the last few years with some of the top tier teams down.
Now with Tennessee looking like they are back on track and improving teams like Mizzou, USC & Arkansas…..plus throw in Texas and Oklahoma, I think Stoops may have already peaked.
In other words…I think we are now back to hoping for the “6 Wins and a Bowl”.

    Or did they?

3-0 Kentucky second quarter. Completely different team from last week.

Why did Kentucky punt on their last drive?!? That's crazy.

Stoopid was watching Zac Taylor last week and thought that was the greatest move he'd ever seen. You have a chance at one of the top 3 biggest wins in program history and you punt it back to #1 team in the land with three minutes remaining. Granted, you did have three timeouts and the two-minute warning but did we really think that was gonna turn out well? Those opportunities only come around once every couple of decades for UK.

    This.

Aggie fans have to feel vindicated after last night. Stoops singlehandedly cost the program a top 3 all time victory and one where Kentucky was the better team most of the night.

At one point in the game I openly questioned whether or not college sports is rigged due to sports betting.

That’s debatable for sure. If Kentucky had pulled off the upset I’d feel differently but it ended up being a FG game with two really boring game plans
