Saw Uriah Heep in concert back in 76 or 77 in London while I was stationed at RAF Chicksands. (I'm fairly certain that Roy was in the audience somewhere.) They did 'Easy Living' and everyone else in the band walked off the stage while the drummer did about a 10 or 15 minute solo. Good times.

lol. I did see Uriah Heep at the old French Field House at Ohio State early 1970’s. They played with the old version of Fleetwood Mac with Bob Welch. I was there to see Welch play and never was a Uriah Heep fan. Those were the days of mind numbing drum and bass solos with terrible acoustics. Gaaah.

There's talk on the street, it's there to remind you
Doesn't really matter which side you're on
You're walking away and they're talking behind you
They will never forget you 'til somebody new comes along

That is Henley Vanilli and his flock of Eagles. New kid in town.

Now there's a concert that was never meant to be. Co-headliners: Flock of Seagulls and Flock of Eagles.

    Shambala...

Jim, I have a true story. I saw 3DN in my home town about 14 years ago. They were about a half dozen songs into their set and had begun to sing "Shambala."
    They started:

    "Wash away my troubles
    Wash away my pain
    With the rain in Shambala
    Wash away my sorrow
    Wash away my shame
    With the rain in Shambala..."

They got about halfway through the song and it came an absolute downpour(it was an outside concert). Terrible thunderstorm, wind, thunder, lightning , a torrent of rain, which left about six inches of standing water when all was said and done. Never seen a washout like that since. Three Dog Night had no choice but to wrap up the show. Just thought it was ironic, the rainstorm came just as they were singing about the rain in Shambala.

Rapid Fire Lyrics. Here's ten one-liners. See how many of these ten you can nail in just a matter of a few seconds.

    1. "I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then."

    2. "They're sharing a drink called loneliness, but it's better than drinking alone. "

    3. "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."

    4. "Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy."

    5. "Tell me why, everything turned around – packing up, shacking up is all you want to do."

    6. "I'd trade all my tomorrows for a single yesterday."

    7. "I go to parties sometimes until four – it's hard to leave when you can't find the door."

    8. "Some folks are born made to wave the flag, oh they're red, white and blue – and when the band plays 'Hail to the Chief,' they point the cannon at you."

    9. "They paved paradise, put up a parking lot. "

    10. "There must be some kind of way outta here, said the joker to the thief."

Okay, how many did you get?

That’s a great ironic story and only sucks because the show got cut short.

I got 8. I’ve heard all of them, but couldn’t quickly pinpoint number 1 and 5. I’m slip sliding away, I suppose

Seeing these are all from my era, I got them all. I would have been ashamed of myself if I didn’t.
