Styx definitely wasn’t and I’d just barely heard of April Wine. I’d moved on from what’s called classic rock and was going through my punk and post-punk phases in real time. Bands like The Clash, David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Joy Division, Television, Talking Heads, B-52s, etc etc

April Wine was really good. Styx... LOL ... not so much. I once smashed a radio to smithereens when "Mr Roboto" came on.

Right on, can see that. I will say that StYX has one good song, and that is "To much time on my hands" That was my anthem way back in the 80"s working third shift, and drinking with the old men in the bars, while watching the "Soaps" and someone yelling " It's time for Magnum"

Good times…. I remember drinking with the old guys. But now I’m the old guy drinking with the young guys.

Iron City Houserockers were the house band, and theY inked this song for moewan. Or, that's the rumor anyway. This is a fine album, BTW.

Jackson Browne - The Pretender. Jackson Browne wrote one of my favorite songs of all-time: Doctor My Eyes.

    I went through an Eagles/Jackson Browne/Linda Ronstadt/Warren Zevon plus more era. Mid-late 70’s.

I about wore out these JB albums:

    Saturate Before Using
    For Everyman
    Late For The Sky
    The Pretender
    Running On Empty

After that, he kinda lost me.

    I’ll give one a try

I went home with the waitress, the way I always do
How was I to know, she was with the Russians, too?
