Burrow was amazing but Lamar was the best player in the NFL this year and should be the MVP.
If Lamar doesn't win the MVP, it's because I think voters:
- would have a hard time giving him a third MVP before Mahomes won his third.
- struggle with making him a 3-time MVP when this year was really the first that he was the best player in the league (he put up a historic year in 2018, but nobody seriously thought he was the best player in the NFL).
- know the gap between he and Josh Allen is not 3 to 0 MVPs. From 2019-2023, many people would have taken Allen over Lamar in general as a better player.
None of those reasons are actually good ones to not give Lamar the MVP this year.
