Mark this down. If the Cubs win tonight, they'll already have a gift win. Top 9, game tied 2-2, the Cubs Michael Bush "steals" home to give the Cubs a 3-2 lead while the ball gets away from Rangers catcher on a foul ball.

Yes, you read that right. Michael Bush stole home on a foul ball. Except the home plate ump didn't correctly call it a foul ball. He blows the call, rules it a passed ball and Bush is safe at home.

Now in the bottom of the 9th, the Rangers hit a home run to tie the game 3-3. But the game shouldn't be 3-3. It should be over with a Rangers 3-2 win.

There's going to be stiff competition for worst team in baseball. The Rockies took that 16-1 beating, the Reds made the Nats look silly and The A's went down without a whimper 8-0 to the Guardians. Also, don't sleep on the Angels. They're very bad.

Cubs, Curt Casali Agree To Minor League Deal

The Cubs have signed veteran catcher Curt Casali to a minor league contract, per the team’s transaction log at MLB.com. The BHSC client spent spring training with the Marlins but didn’t make the roster and was granted his release earlier this week.

Casali, 35, is a veteran of 10 big league seasons. He had a solid run with the Reds and (more briefly) the Rays from 2017-20, batting .262/.348/.444 over the life of 498 plate appearances, working primarily in a backup role.
