    After the game Reds trade Santo Alcala to Montreal for PTBNL.
    Players were pitcher Shane Rawley ( who the Reds would later be traded before he ever pitched for them) and pitcher Angel Torres who will pitch a handful of games in September and that's it for his MLB career.

    Tom Hume is recalled to take Alcala's roster spot.

    Hume was pretty good at times. He had 25 saves in 1980. But there were times when he was truly awful and deserved to be called Boom-Boom.

    I was just looking over his stat page and Hume actually was credited with the save in the 1982 all star game.

    I'll give full update on all 4 division standings after I play up to June 1.
    But this is a big series vs. LA.
    Reds aren't that far behind the Dodgers as they have underperformed on fastscore based on their historical record. The rest of the west every team is under .500 currently.

    Interesting in the real 1977 season Nolan started out really well his first few starts. Then started giving up a lot of runs.
    Same thing is happening to him in the replay.
    3 ip 7 hits 4 runs. Borbon and Murray combined to go 6 innings in relief allowing only 1 walk 0 hits .

    Top 9 Reds up 4-2 with one out Royster walks fly out for out number 2. Montanez singles. Royster to 3rd.
    Burroughs doubles to CF. Royster scores to eake it 4-3 Montanez tryst to score from first but Geronimo guns him down at home to end the game.
    Zachry wins it. Eastwick saves it. Easterly takes the loss.
