Harper had a great game, it happens when you're dealing with future HOFers.

You got me. I was reading the GT and not watching the game. I read some posts about pitching around him and I assumed there was a base open during his AB with the bases loaded.

And then my rant about a lot managers who donít use the IW anymore. Pitching to dangerous hitters in situations that either warrant it or not pitching around hitters who have been beating you up. See the home series last year with Washington in September for an example.

Best thing about this game is that there is a game today (maybe). Win today and the Reds win the series, which is the bottom line. Two out of three all season makes for a great year.

That was a travesty. Inexcuseable pitching to Lane Thomas that series.

If Gene Mauch could do it so can Bell. Kidding. Of course

As for walking a guy like Harper, this is from a Philadelphia Flyers board's Phillies forum:

"When Harper is swinging like this, you need to treat him the way Jim Fregosi treated Barry Bonds.

Walk him. Man on base, walk him. Two on, walk him. Loaded? f*** it, walk him. Better one run than four."
And that's a Phillies Fan saying it.
