I missed the pitch only saw ground ball to SS. So I can't say if that was a good pitch to hit to the opposite field. But CES needs to start taking some pitches to RF and not try to pull everything.

162 games every single player with struggle at times.
You give them more than 10 games to figure it out before you start shifting the order around IMO. If you start losing a bunch or you get 30-40 games in and results are the same. Then you make some changes.
I agree that a manager should have his players backs and show confidence, but what kind of confidence is he showing with last years MVP batting 7th? That’s also with several of their best players out with injuries. IMHO, it goes both ways when showing confidence.

Not having 3rd & 4th hitters with sub .200 Reds would have 1 run at this point.

Pirates blew a win earlier today. 3rd BS of the year for the once-solid David Bednar.

It's 10 games. So we know for certain someone else hitting 3rd or 4th would have come through with a hit? Got lottery numbers?

I think the whole idea is other players are being moved around in this lineup for different reasons. Why not the 3 and 4 hitters?

He started the year hitting 7th vs. RHP. 2nd vs. LHP.
He has hit LHP better than he has RHP over his season plus coming into this year.
You don't switch stuff based off 10 games. You know Steer isn't going to come close to his current average and you know Candy will not have his current average at seasons end.

Tejay’s going to try another comeback. Best of luck to him.

Jake, you saw 4 strikes. Stop griping and swing.

Fraley terrible AB. Why take a pitch like that with 2 strikes? Even if it doesn't break, it's right down the middle. How do they forget the fundamentals of hitting?

I think I'm with you. Too many not built for 162. Too much overreaction. Team is 6-4 You would think they were 0-10

The number four hitter isn’t being moved because he signed a multi year contract and the President of baseball operations said that he was going to be hitting in the middle of the order. It’s pretty simple.
