Minor League Game Thread 4/24/24 WEDNESDAY

LOUISVILLE - It was matinee baseball today for the Bats, and the upped their won-loss record to 11-12 with a 2-1 triumph over the Nashville Cats. And, before we go any further, it's a Palindrome Date today - 4-24-24. Actually, there are ten such days in a row, but I am slow. Better late than never, I suppose. Back to baseball.

The good Lyon Richardson made an appearance today: 5.1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 K. He needs to show out a little more consistently.
Evan Kravetz dropped his ERA to 0.77 with 1.2 innings of shut out baseball.
Ian Gibaut went 1-2-3 with 2 Ks.
Tony Santillan notched his 4th save on the season with a scoreless 9th. Santillan has taken to the mound 10 times in April, and has given up no earned runs in 9 of them. Nice.

PJ Higgins singled and homered (2). He's a point shy of .300 at .299.
Mark Trautwein walked twice, while stealing a base.
Connor Capel walked and stole second (5). His OPS is .970.
    Francisco Urbaez singled and doubled.

Huge improvement from Richardson. Still a long ways to go. He hit 2 Batters and Walked 2 Batters, while throwing 95 pitches to get 16 outs.

Duno's HR came off a pitcher named Hudepohl. Is that a good or bad omen for his chances in Cincinnati later?
