Yeah, and I don’t think Benson should be batting leadoff, but Hurtrbise is awful.
What would you say.....ya do here?

I have to see a bigger sample with Hurtubise. Lucky for us, the Reds have been mathematically eliminated from postseason contention in May for the 10th time in the last 12 years, so we can afford to take a loooooooooong look.

He walks a lot. That’s something.

Did you know he went to West Point? Batting him leadoff will give John and Barry a chance to cover that hot story right away!

Abbott has quietly been a top-10 pitcher in the NL. There’s no excuse for a team with Green, Abbott, and Lodolo to be this bad.

He’s got a 433 career OBP, including .479 last year. He gets on base. We need our lead off hitters to do that.

The offense needs to win this on for Abbott. He’s been very good and gets no help

Usually when I see a hit like that, it means the Reds are about to be down 2-0.

That was refreshing. Its all coming together.

Hurtubise isn’t an all-star, but I think “awful” is a bit extreme
