One of my favorite songs. Powerfully haunting vocals.

I listened to the Meat is Murder on repeat via Walkman on a 6 hour drive in March of 1986. Haven't had meat since. Between the moos and the cutting sounds
The guys we've had for the most part have been serviceable at this level.

Oh well. It is Warren Zevon's Your S***'s F***** Up, it is about being told you have cancer.

I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.

Chip Taylor's Radiation Song. Kind of dark but kind of light hearted too. About wanting to stay in medical radiation a few more minutes because a John Prine song just started

Eagles describe the life of a man who stepped in front of a train...

Harry got up dressed all in black
    Went down to the station
    And he never came back
They found his clothing scattered somewhere down the track
And he won't be down on Wall Street in the morning
Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. -- Carl Sagan (Pale Blue Dot)
