Get Elly out of the 2 hole.

    Or…don’t.

    Whatever. Yay team.

he's been slumping for like a week, why would they take him out of the 2 hole?

Elly last 30 days .216 .303 .299 1 HR in May. I love Elly. He will win a MVP one day. But he has been struggling the entire month of May.
Having said that. Not sure moving him out of the 2 hole does much. Whole offense is struggling.

this is one of those sneak up on you early starts that you dont expect. I wonder why this is an early start for a Friday?

Cubs play their Friday home games at 1:20. Have for years.

Has it been all of May or is it just the last week or so has been so brutal?

But yeah, either way, he should stat in the 2 hole. This season is over already and frankly is there really going to be much of a difference putting like Fraley there?

He’s been slumping for a month. Him striking out & popping up constantly is bad for an already challenged lineup.

It’s a day game against a sinker all pitcher.

I’m watching to see if we can score a run today!

Maybe the Cubs will make some errors!

Yeah… we can move one of our hot hitters to the 2-hole.

    Choose one from this list:

    Hmm

It might be more about taking some pressure off of Elly than the impact on the line-up.

I fully acknowledge the entire team is curdled hamster squeeze. But if you look at his numbers at the 2 spot vs anywhere else other than leadoff, he’s much better.

    And the predictable Jake twin-killing.

I have no idea where the Reds rank on grounding into DP, but they have to be up there.

It’s easier to just dismiss suggestions with zero rational basis other than “lol, why?? won’t work lol!”

    Awful 2 strike pitch

And Happ again. He blows in 2024 and the reds still can’t get him out.
