On paper, this is the toughest pitching match up of the series

But the Reds still got this. Time to sweep the Cubs back to Chicago.

Friedl’s 1.163 OPS in June definitely warrants him dropping from leadoff to 7th.

TJ hit .354 vs lefties last year w/ a .962 OPS. He’s gotta be better. Definitely want Stuart Fairchild getting more ABs.

I'd probably keep him near the top as well, but Fairchild rakes against lefties.

Espinal is the one who is too high in the order.

    Don’t think it’s that big a deal.

    Fairchild’s splits this year against lefties: .324 AVG / .407 OBP / .479 SLG / .886 OPS

Imanaga is a tough, tough lefty. Each option does little to change that fact.

I agree, no reason to keep moving Freidl, when he actually hits lefties better than righties. Makes zero sense and him batting behind Espinal is absurd.

    Regardless, looks like another win!

    Go Reds!

Pretty good lineup against a lefty.

And Imanaga is due for a turd.

Imanaga has put up 2 bad starts in a row. Going only 8.2 inning total, 12 runs (8 ER) and 3 HR. The league may be finally figuring him out.

Oh, I only knew of the one - with most of the runs unearned

The number 3 might be the order of the day.

    If the Reds win today(I mean, WHEN the Reds win today they will have a record of 33 -33. Also, 3+3+3+3 = 12 , 1+ 2 = 3 . Today's game is number 66 , half of 33 . When the Cubs lose they will fall to 31-35. 3+1+3+5 = 12 , 1+2 =3 .

Look for 3 to somehow play an important role in today's Reds' win. Could it be that the Candyman , who is batting in the #3 position in the order has a big hit today? Also, Candy is playing first, the position designated as # 3 on the field. Oh, by the way, Candy wears uniform # 3 . Just sayin' ... Universe, deliver us that 33rd win !!!!

A touch lefty we've not seen... hmm... this one will be a test of our surge for sure.
