The McLain injury has bothered me all season. The Reds need to redouble their efforts to avoid serious injuries in the spring. Especially to young players without a track record of preparing for regular season. It’s one thing to get hurt in the line of regular season action, but the McLain situation is much harder to accept. And it certainly has hampered this Reds season, meaningfully.

What setback? I didn’t read anything about a setback. He wasn’t expected back until August at best since this first happened.

David Bell on Nick Lodolo: Threw with a blister today. Didn’t have normal feel of curveball because of it.

I thought he did a nice job without one of his best pitches.

We’ll monitor it close. It’s a concern, but I think he got through the game without it getting worse.

I think corkedbat is anticipating a setback based on the injury history of the Cincinnati Reds

Well you were right with one and two. Lets just hope #3 doesn't happen.

Friedl back on the DL. It never ends. This season feels like a bad dream.

Friedl Likely To Miss 2-to-3 Weeks

David Bell said Monday that he expects Friedl (hamstring) to return from the 10-day injured list in 2-to-3 weeks,

Cincinnati placed Friedl on the IL on Monday after he aggravated a left hamstring strain in Sunday's 7-4 loss to Boston.

The Reds called up Levi Jordan from Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move to burnish their depth in the outfield, but Stuart Fairchild could be given the first opportunity to replace Friedl as the club's everyday center fielder.

Is Zulueta on the 40 man or will their have to be a corresponding 40man move too?

    Let's hope 2025 gives 1972, 1990, and 1994 (pre-strike) seasons a run for their money.
