I get that the strikeouts are awful, but he was perfectly fine in April and May. Slumps happen, and there's really nobody down in AAA right now.

Benson isn't improving. He's not figuring anything out. It's not a slump. I understand there is not someone in AAA who looks great, but Benson is not the answer.

Being above average for two months and being bad this month is the definition of a slump.

In May Benson struck out 36.3%

In June he’s struck out 44.7%

I'd buy the "it's just a big slump" defense if I saw any improvement. Or that he has suffered particularly bad luck. But I haven't seen anything like that.

Honestly, it’s not just the stats. Anyone with working eyeballs can see benson is cooked. This isn’t a slump, league adjusted and he’s toast.
