Burns will have to outproduce Condon and Caglianone.

Those were the three guys mentioned as most likely Reds.

We'll see, of course, how it goes.

Early days, and by no means is Condon a bust, but at least he didn't pull a Wyatt Langford and crush it from day 1.

The good news is we won't be hearing all offseason how the Reds screwed up by passing on Condon. (It could happen later if Condon turns it around and Burns is a bust,) but at least the early results show that Cleveland and Cincinnati may have been on to something by passing on Condon.

With Lowder's dramatic 2nd half turnaround, I am now praying to God that Burns can also follow in Lowder's footsteps and make it to the majors by the end of next season. Burns turning into a #2 guy to slot behind Hunter is the dream scenario, and it would really increase the chances of the Reds doing what many fans have never seen. Making the playoffs and winning a series.
