2. Yes, the 27th man is reliever Lyon Richardson, who was optioned this morning back to AAA with Yosver Zulueta being recalled. Richardson is staying around to be the 27th man.

Absolutely! This is why he was brought in,...a chance to win a series and get the team back on the winning track. Hunter set up the opportunity for him with Monday's brilliant performance. He needs to step up amd come out ready to pitch...not wait until he's given up 4 runs and then start pitching (or not start pitching at all). Injuries or not, he's been disappointing. He's shown the savvy that a veteran brings at times, but most often he just comes out to the mound not ready to pitch, not mentally prepared.

Allan Winans has a 10.80 ERA....just 5 innings pitched but it would seem he's hittable.

There's been so much talk of Offensive problems, but we're the '27 Yankees compared to the Mariners.

Seattle's season has completely fallen apart thanks to their management's unrecognition that you have to have some Offense. The Mariners have lost 18 of their last 27 games and in those 18 losses they've averaged a measly 2.2 runs per game. They just put two of their three hitters who produce anything at all for them (Cal Raleigh being the other), J. P. Crawford (broken bone) and Julio Rodriguez (crashed into a wall) on the 10-day IL (Crawford will be gone for most of the season). The Mariners' season is completely over. They can't even win the 1-0 and 2-1 games anymore.
