He’s fitting right in. Like a brother from another mother.

He really was. A thinking man's pitcher. Socrates in stirrups. Or was it Dylan on the diamond?

There must be a barrier around .500 that the Reds can’t get over.

Lodolo has one bad game and it’s panic in RZ. He’s now just a number 3 in an average rotation? He’s pitched like a number 1 most of the year before Hunter started his great run of pitching. They have both pitched like 1-2 starters. Abbott has pitched most of the year like a good number 3. But sure he might only be a 3-4 starter.

One bad game? His last four starts, before tonight:

    21 1/3 IP
    19 hits
    12 earned runs
    3 HR
    5.06 ERA

    Tonight:

    5 2/3 IP
    11 hits
    8 earned runs

He’s had more than one bad start recently. I expect him to pitch better, but he’s an obvious liability at this juncture.

Yeah, his last few starts have not been great. He is still young though of course and has plenty of potential he has already shown to be quite good.

I haven’t seen an out pitch yet from Junis.

Yeah small sample size but nothing stands out to my eyes.

Junis looked like I expected, but I’ll give him a pass, first outing as a Red.

Knows what he’s doing but the stuff seemed absent tonight.

This is absolutely true. They get within 3-4 games of .500 and then collapse again.
