There's way too many assets in his new situation to leave Los Angeles over the next 7-10 years. He should see several playoffs, while Herbert is a Super Bowl caliber Quarterback. Endorsements alone could get Harbaugh $10M a year in Los Angeles. Why would anyone want to live in the miserable Michigan Winters when they can spend all year in the good climate of Southern California making $10M per season? Can't see him ever going back to the Midwest.

As Krono put it, Harbaugh has a tendency to wear out his welcome wherever he goes. He did it in San Fran and left Michigan mostly he knew he was going to get hit with a show cause.
If Moore falters and I think he will, Michigan would welcome him back with open arms when the show cause expires. There aren't a lot of Michigan men left in the coaching circle.

No question he'll burn his way out of LA like he did in San Fran, but he'll stick with the NFL, all he wants now is a super bowl ring like big brother has.
Go Gators!
This is only related to the COVID recruiting violations though right? The Stallions punishment hasnt come down yet. Can they hit him with another show cause after that that increases the length? Like say he gets a 4 year for Stallions and is 8 years in total?
Even with just this punishment...anyone hiring him would be doing so with him being suspended a whole year before he could serve as head coach. I think that would make him unhirable even for Michigan.

Has anyone ever gone back to their school?
I know Michigan would welcome Harbaugh back with open arms, but the dude sacrificed everything to win. I can't give an unbiased opinion because of my dislike for Michigan, but outside of Ann Arbor, how is Harbaugh thought of? The guy won, but spent quite a bit of last year suspended. He is in the middle of the largest cheating scandal since?????
Sure. Usually doesn't go well. Bill Walsh's second run with Stanford was pretty uninspiring. Bobby Petrino brought Lamar Jackson to Louisville in his second go round, but the whole thing ended in disaster once Lamar moved on to Baltimore. Greg Schiano is trying it at Rutgers now to mediocre results. Randy Edsall was a disaster at UConn the second time through. Johnny Majors had a second go round at Pitt that was bad.
John Robinson's second stint at USC might have been the most successful such effort, and it really wasn't too good outside of a Rose Bowl win over the cinderella Northwestern Wildcats of Gary Barnett, Darnell Autry and Pat Fitzgerald.

Good point. I would argue other than Robinson at USC, none of those stints were marquee programs. Can't speak to Walsh in Stanford, but I am assuming that was at the tail end of his coaching career after the run with the 49ers. Petrino was kind of a cult hero in Louisville, and really the only place he could have gotten a job again. I thought it was a good hire at the time, but it ended poorly. Schiano is interesting because after the Tennessee debacle (and his horrid year at OSU as DC) it seemed like Rutgers and him were the perfect fit. Edsall was similar at UConn, but UConn is in the wilderness of college football, resurrecting that program may never happen.
Some of the more marquee coaches who left under their own will, returned to the college ranks, but not to their previous school. Saben LSU-Bama, Urban Florida - OSU, Spurior Florida - South Carolina.

The suspension is for 2024, which is sort of pointless, but the show cause essentially serves as a four year suspension anyway.

Harrison played pro baseball for the past 10 years & was one of the main pieces in the Christian Yelich to Milwaukee trade.
He's bizarro Tim Tebow.
