They’re real excited in Knoxville. In fact they’re real excited here in Cincinnati. I got all kinds of high fives and “Go Vols” last night at Oktoberfest while wearing my Big Orange garb

At this point I agree or at least #2.
While not many attractive games this weekend, I was looking forward to UT and Oklahoma. Tennessee went on the road and took care of business.
Texas vs Tennessee would be a must see.
Longhorns have Georgia left on schedule which should be fun game. I doubt Sooners can score enough against them to keep it close. After that, looks like no problems for Horns.
I guess at this point in season I would say Texas and UT #1 and 2. (subject to change weekly )

That's the QB from Bellefontaine (Chieftains) (where I live). I know he's going to OSU next year; but didn't know he was ranked that high nationally. He's also got a new target in a kid (WR) who moved here last year, and from what I've heard they say he'll be in the NFL one day.

I graduated from Urbana (long, long time ago in a galaxy far away), so I'm going down Oct 6th (Urbana's homecoming) to see this kid play. Urbana is tough competition and undefeated so far.

Are you referring to McIntyre? That link is behind a paywall. He’s a 4* according to 247 composite. Top 10 QB, elite talent, I’m just setting record straight. Just figured you would want to know Sanders is not a QB.

Yeah, St Clair is a top 10 overall recruit in the country.
Granted, opinions can vary but this is what I'm reading:

I'd definitely rank Texas #1 at this point. After that, it's anyone's guess. Teams like Ohio State haven't played anyone so who knows what they have? It's real early

Michigan, gotta give 'em credit, I didn't think they'd beat USC. On that same note, USC disappointed. Their defense still isn't fixed. They tackle poorly. They let Mich beat 'em at their (Michigan's) game

As for Tennessee, lemme tell you, their defense is better than their offense

My Vols are up to #5.

Third week in a row, the SEC has 6 of the top 7 spots

I'm not sure that he'll even stay at Tennessee. I don't see how all these QB studs can find playing time

Excellent point. Thank you for the correction. Miami definitely deserves to be there. Looking forward to Clemson and Miami battling it out for the ACC title. I'm disappointed that Vanderbilt didn't beat Missouri yesterday but they're Vanderbilt for a reason.

I think IU should be in the top 25

I was disappointed they didn't make it. 2 wins away from bowl eligibility!

According to the AP even having 5 in the top 7 is unheard of:

The SEC had gone two straight weeks holding down six of the top seven spots in the rankings, a first for one league in poll history. No conference previously even held five of the top seven spots, which the now 16-team SEC still has this week.

With Missouri slipping, the SEC still holds five of the top six spots, and it’s on a three-week streak of owning four of the top five. That streak is another AP poll first.

The only other time in the 88-year history of the poll that a conference had four of the top five ranked teams was the SEC on Oct. 19, 2014 (No. 1 Mississippi State, No. 3 Mississippi, No. 4 Alabama and No. 5 Auburn). That lasted a week.

SEC with the top game in the country once again this week:

#2 vs #4 is a great game to have, especially in Sept
