2 quarterbacks with interesting decisions...Ewers does he stay or transfer with Manning nipping at his heels and Drew Allar does he decide to go pro...I would probably stay the additional year if I was Allar both those picks last night were on really bad throws.
Ewers probably needs to go deep into the playoff to hold Manning off...

The rose goes in the front, big guy.
Alabama played USF, Mercer, Western Kentucky and Wisconsin.
SMU played BYU, TCU, Houston Christian and Nevada.
In what world would picking Alabama this year incent teams to play stronger non-conference games?
I'm thrilled that my Volunteers made the first ever 12 team CFP. I don't think they're a championship team this year nor do I see them winning in Columbus but they've accomplished so much in just a few years. When Josh Heupel took in 2021 the team was reeling under Jeremy Pruitt. They were 3-7 including a 34-7 loss to Kentucky. They also faced heavy sanctions from the NCAA from the Pruitt regime. Now here we are in 2024 and as of the end of the regular season they're on a par with Ohio State. I think the Vols best days are in front of them but let's see what they've got vs the Buckeyes. They've got the hardest draw in the tournament IMO.

Alabama played a much stronger schedule than SMU. That strength happened to be the SEC vs the ACC but the principle still stands. I want hard schedules to be rewarded
Don't lose to 6-6 Vandy and get dominated by 6-6 Oklahoma. In no reality should Alabama or Miami should get in over a team "in" and loses a conference title game. If SMU weren't already "in" as 8 before the game you might have a point. But the committee also said they wouldn't penalize teams who made the champ and lost.

The first round games should be neutral site bowl games.
The second round games should be home games for the conference winners.
