I am not a Ty France fan.
He'll get some more hits when the game is out of reach...like yesterday and the day before. When the game is still on the line, he's hitless.

Nice play by Elly there and on that one last night at 3B.

Good lord man let’s ruin this thread. How’d the next Friedl AB go? He watched strike one right down the middle…..then, swung at a pitch a foot low????? Why did he swing at that? Didn’t he know that 0-1 is likely to see a ball out of the zone? (Just like 1-2)….but then somehow he stopped swinging at balls and walked.

Speaking of portly, how is our big French pastry out of the bullpen coming along?

C'mon guys, it's not worth arguing over strikes. This team has shown that as soon as they're within 3 games of .500 they decide that's not good enough and proceed to lose the game. Bottom line, as they teach in little league. If the ball is down the middle you SWING. if you have two strikes and the ball is anywhere in the strike zone, you SWING.

That's four pitches and you aren't giving it to the ump, yet?

He will on occasion but seems more apt to come out if the dugout for some odd occurrence or when the shortstops heels might be touching the grass on the pitch.

Reds have been hosed on several pitches but have also watched fastballs down the pipe.

    Pretty bad I take it?
What do you mean have someone run by the ump?

Doesn’t appear to be our night. 3 well struck balls, all outs.

This Marlins pitcher reminds me of all the dreck the Reds called up in the early 2000s and had some early BABIP luck and "good" outings to get folks jazzed...the Lizard, Jose Acevedo, et al.

Abbott has gotten out 11 of the last 12 batters.

That's because he's one of the best pitchers in the Major Leagues.

I remember a Cubs rookie threw a four hit shutout in his MLB debut…Jeff Pico. He lasted three seasons. Sometimes pitchers have a hot night, just look at Phillip Humber who threw a perfect game.

Well I assume the ump will tire of his errors being vocalized publicly
