Right, because you know so much more than the team's best situational hitter and the player with the highest baseball IQ.

They must plate a couple here, I think.

One of the best pitchers in the game doesn't give up five runs in the first inning to one of the worst teams in baseball. He's doing better now because he settled down and the pressure is off. How many in that dugout actually expect to win the game at this point?

And the 2 pitches I've seen him cry about were balls according to the replay on TV. The first one wasn't really close.

21 bombs given up in 121 innings is pretty godawful.3.4 bb per9 7.2 k per 9.Andrew Abbott is the pear shaped poster boy for league average #4 starter

Sorry 22 bombs keep it up Andrew

Hard hit balls right at defenders. Sigh. Every time they get within 3-4 games of that .500 mark, they remind you of who they are right now I guess...a sub .500 team weathering bad luck and young, inconsistent-but-improving starting pitching.

If you were to compare his body to a fruit, which would you choose?

    He already answered your question.

He's a middling to end rotation SP.

Just nowhere close to good enough. Maybe he’s just had 2 bad starts and there’s nothing more to it, but I’m afraid he’s smoked.

Bats again... can't get a meaningful hit tonight and we've had a few chances.

His K:IP ratio is worrying. His control seems to be better, but is his velocity down?
