    Some guys can do nothing to get into the lineup….and some can do nothing to get out of it

    Marte => 6 for his last 31 (.194)

    Espinal => 14 for his last 31 (.452)

    Marte must be in for his superior defense...

    Since April 21st - a span of 92 games - Spencer Steer is slashing .209/.288/.377.

    That’s not very good.

    Marte has been ok at the plate of very late, better on defense….but in 120 at bats this season he has fewer hits than Espinal in his last 43

    If Espinal was traded to the Reds in July he’d start every game given what he’s done. This team doesn’t go with hot players and put them in prime batting order positions, they just wait for them to fall back or just go 0-3 against a pitcher that threw a no hitter to bench him to his 24th man role.

    It pains my plums that they don't seem to play the hot hand. I say play the guys who are on fire until they're not.

    But once you’ve gotten the respect….you can go 12/93 and get all the benefits of the doubt for a while longer

    Bell will NEVER do that. He's the Calipari of MLB.

    Somehow I have Apple+. I do not remember getting it or when. Regardless, that's where it is. First NASCAR and now MLB. Drives me nuts. Next it may be Paramount plus or Netflicks. Not everyone has internet or a smart TV. It's all about the money.

    They've already rugged us by selling off games to Roku Channel and Prime Video so "next" is now.

    It's August 9 and Elly De La Cruz leads the National League in fWAR (the only WAR that matters).

    Also the Cleveland game, as if I cared. Only used Apple+ a couple of times and ROKU only because I have a Roku tv. Feel sorry folr those in rural areas.
