The series was what it was (but had a good finish).

Since a lot of posters here like Stats.... I'm sure the probability of the Brewers winning 2 out of 3 in this series was quite strong.

Don't care what anyone says, Espinal is a professional ballplayer. Fine fundamentals. Does a lot of little things well. Clutch hitter. One of our betters players. Needs to be here next season.

IMO Reds have made a mistake not giving India more rest. He looks tired as a hitter. Doesn’t have the pop he can sometimes generate.

I guess I’m defending him, some won’t agree, but I wish Reds would sit him down for a couple of days. My guess is he’d bounce back.

Looks VERY tired as a runner and fielder as well.

Getting Espinal on the Reds is the best thing Krall's done this year.

I guess I’m defending him, some won’t agree, but I wish Reds would sit him down for a couple of days. My guess is he’d bounce back.

It just seems so freaking obvious he needs a couple days off, at least 1. He needs moved out of the leadoff for now. He had a great run, don’t let him die getting the most plate appearances.

What is Espinal's contractual situation? I think he's someone that needs to be on the roster next season. He can a lot of things pretty well.

He's making around $3 Million this year and is arb eligible for next year. They could probably keep him for $5 Million or so. It's only worth it if he plays IMO. With McLain coming back and India leading the team in OBP, I have a hard time seeing him as anything more than a spare part. If so, that $5 Million is probably better used by adding it to their money available for an impact bat.
