    Yikes.

Thanks for that team-friendly extension buddy, best of luck out there.

Looks like Brewers sending Devin Williams to Yankees for Nestor Cortes and IF prospect Caleb Durbin.

Good deal for Brewers. Cortes is worth a ton as a MOR SP, and Durbin is a borderline legitimate prospect who will likely start at 2B for Milwaukee this season (but can also play SS and 3B if need be).

Pretty good trade for both teams. Glad to see Williams leave the division.

Usually I'd rather have the starting pitcher than the reliever but Cortes must now confront the survival odds of short starting pitchers entering their 30s.

Short (5'11" or less) LH starters in GS since 1994, over age 30

    Wandy Rodríguez 161
    Mike Hampton 106
    Fernando 71
    Shota Imanaga 29
    Framber Valdez 28
    Tsuyoshi Wada 20
    Teddy Higuera 12

Internet is raising concern over Soto having put on weight since the Series ended. Will he show up in 2 months in the best shape of his life?

I don't care about the weight, but he sure is one old looking 26 year old

Looking at the Durbin prospect. Guy is a Div III college player listed at 5'6. Not a ton of power, but never strikes out and steals a bunch of bags. I'm sure he'll annoy the Reds for years to come.

Ken Rosenthal [and others] reporting a Tucker to the Cubs trade may be imminent.

Deal would indeed be 3-for-1: Tucker for Paredes, Wesneski and Smith.

Assuming Bellinger is dealt, is Tucker that much of an upgrade for the Cubs? Enough to give up a solid major league utility guy, a BOR option, and your first round draft pick from last summer that tore through the minors?

Serious question, I'm not too familiar with Tucker outside of the stat lines.

Tucker is absolutely a major upgrade over Bellinger.

However, not sure the juice is worth that squeeze.
