None for my part, but they've been there since I can remember. So it's never been anything different, it's required no adaptation on my part. Classically, the tradeoff is no commercials during the game in exchange for jersey sponsors and ads ringing the playing field during the broadcast.

He basically tried to throw a game. I'm not sure I would give him the second opportunity. I understand people screw up and usually deserve the chance to do better, but he crossed a pretty serious line here.

I know we like to be old men yelling at clouds here about stuff like this (I'm not crazy about it either) but I 1000% guarantee you if the owners back in the day thought of this then, they would do it too. Bill Veeck probably would have done it in a Chicago minute.

Good point. Although ads on uniforms wouldn't be that valuable without every game on TV and a million cameras at each game.

Geno's been fine for the past three seasons. Definitely heating up for AZ at the right time, but he logged two quality seasons for Seattle in 2022 and 2023. The Mariners giving him up for a bag of balls was one of the worst moves of the offseason.

I think they might have transitioned to playing late season games in AL West mode. But maybe the fans in Sacramento have something to look forward to next year.
