You never know with that ownership though.

MLB investigating after Alex Cora implies Red Sox intentionally threw at Yankees' Aaron Judge, per report

Cora believed that Gerrit Cole intentionally hit Rafael Devers, and the Red Sox appeared to try to retaliate

"We took exception to (the HBP) because it was loud and clear that he didn't want to face him," Cora said. "It was intentional, I'm not gonna back off. It was intentional."

In the sixth inning Red Sox starter Brayan Bello faced Aaron Judge and threw the first pitch behind his knees, missing the Yankees slugger. On Sunday, Cora appeared to admit that this was when the Red Sox were trying to even the score by hitting Judge on purpose.

"It was closed Saturday around the sixth inning. We had our chance. It didn't happen."

    Orioles DFA Craig Kimbrel.

He's definitely had one of his worst years, and he's been particularly bad lately.

if he clears waivers.... he can be a part of the Reds bullpen day.

Which seems like a day that ends in "day" anymore.

    From Lance:

With the Cubs losing this afternoon, the Brewers have clinched the NL Central. They are in the postseason for the 6th time in 7 years. The Cincinnati Reds have been in the postseason six times since 1980. Yikes.

Wish my next-door neighbor luck on Sunday. His name was drawn for the hitting the Toyota truck with an HR by a Red and winning the truck.

Probably the best opportunity for a power hitter to smash up the Tundra’s windshield came earlier this summer, when Cincinnati hosted the 2015 Home Run Derby. Sadly, the Toyota was removed from the ballpark during that All-Star week, so as not to upset the MLB’s official automotive sponsor, Chevrolet.

At the end of each season, the unclaimed Tundra has always been donated to local police or firefighters—a worthy cause, but one that consistently leaves the fans empty-handed. So last night, in the interest of greater parity, it was announced that a Reds player need only hit a homer to the right field seats or visitors bullpen in order for a fan whose name was drawn prior to the game to win the truck.
So, the answer is yes and no. No one hit the sign. But, because of the issue with the ASG, the truck was given away.

I don't know what is the worse promotion, hitting the truck, or hitting the 3 bet parlay they advertise every game.

I think they let slip around game 100 or so that the parlay had been hit only 3 times to that point in the season. 'Hey gamblers look at how good parlays are'

Ohtani apparently woke up feeling dangerous today. 6-6 with 3 HR 10 RBI. First member of 50/50 club in mlb history. Is he legit trying to get 60-60?

Don't leave out the 2 doubles and SB. That's how you crack 50-50 in style.

In a truly amazing season, one of the most amazing accomplishments Ohtani has are his 51 stolen bases. Before 2024, his career high in stolen bases was 26, in a season in which he was caught stealing 10 times. This season, at age 30, he has 51 steals and has only been caught stealing 4 times. That is a success rate of nearly 93%. Elly De La Cruz runs like a racehorse and has stolen 64 bases in 80 attempts, an outstanding 80% success rate, but Ohtani's success rate is as if he ran like Secretariat. How can he have become such a prolific base stealer at this point in his career? This is Bugs Bunny vs. The Gas House Gorillas crazy.
