From August 23, 2021 to tonight, August 23, 2024 , David Bell has won 18 of 50 games against the Pirates.

A good Reliever will have an OPS-Against 100 points lower than a good Starter. An average Reliever will have an OPS-Against 100 points lower than an average Starter. That, for me, is half of what I look for in a Reliever. The other is percentage of inherited runners that score. A good Reliever will be in the 70-85 Percentile in this area. That's where I want my Relievers. If they are below the 50-percentile here, I'm looking for their replacement from the Minors or another team. They have to have the mindset to get the pitcher who pitched before them out of trouble with the correct pitch in the situation that causes a DP, PO or K. A combination of various styles rounds out the bullpen so they can be put into favorable situations based on their pitching styles. There shouldn't be a "you're the 8th inning guy" or "you're the 7th inning guy" or "you're a 6th inning guy" as the situations for these innings are 100% different every game.

That absolutely sucks. I know his record against the Brewers is worse. His record against the Cards over time can't be too good, either, though it has improved lately.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought they said on the radio last night, that was his record at PNC park.

Either way it’s pathetic against that weak team and yes he deserves another extension

Are the Pirates really any weaker than the Reds? They seem pretty evenly matched. The Pirates may actually be a little better.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!
