The ACC has been terrible for a few years. I don't think there are many schools outside of Duke that are going to be big NIL players, either, so I don't see it improving much.

Pleasantly surprised with the Flyers this year. Wasn't expecting much with the departure of Brea to UK and DaRon to the NBA. The UNC and ISU blown leads were heart breaking, but always fun to blast a Hurley coached team, that dude always annoyed me when he was at Rhody.

I thought they looked fatigued/dissinterested last night when falling behind by 10, just didn't seem like their head was in the game. I guess that is to be expected after 3 straight games in paradise vs Top 15 squads, once they "kicked it in" they left little doubt about the outcome. Hopefully the mailaize is behind them this weekend, then a week off (with exams mixed in) to get ready for Marquette and then UC a few games later. Really need to win one of those 2 games to help build up the resume. Shooting has been better than expected, defense has been better than expected. It has taken a few games for Mali and Santos to shake off the rust of surgery, but both are playing pretty darn well. I wish Posh could shot, but love his defense, passing and drive to the hoop. Zed has been better than expected, though he would struggle vs legit Power 5 centers. The A-10 is a great landing spot for his game. They might have something in the French kid. He needs to pack on some muscle/weight but there is a ton to love about his skill set.

So the SEC goes 14-2 against the ACC, and their only two losses are their best two teams (so far). Crazy game.

Big East with a surprising 4-2 edge on the Big XII so far. All the home teams have won.

Two best teams? Tennessee will likely be #1 in the nation next week. No shame in losing at Clemson and Duke

Ohio State goes to the half down 50-17? What’s up with that?

Ah yes, forgot about the Vols. But the 2 SEC losses came from top 5 teams.

The ACC has issues. They really should be staring down about 3 NCAA Tournament bids this year.

All homerism aside, I don't know who's the 2 best teams and it could end up being Kentucky and Auburn, but Tennessee is looking great so far. 14-2 is about as much of a blowout as you'll ever see in these challenges. Top to bottom the SEC is looking awfully tough this year. As good as the SEC has been in football, that might be the conference's 3rd best sport this year, behind baseball and basketball.

ice cold from 3 and bad on defense. Maryland was playing very well in first half as well.

Long story short: looking like OSU made a mistake promoting one of Hotlmann's assts and are on the verge of being completely irrelevant in college basketball with no hope in sight.

Not to highjack this thread, but this is a huge reason why OSU football needs to make sure that Ryan Day isn't the guy they need. One bad higher and it sets your program back years/decades. IU basketball is a huge example of this.

For sure, but Ohio State football is a completely different animal than OSU basketball. Ohio State football could hire me to be the head coach and they would still win 8 games minimum. The talent they attract, money, facilities, resources, fact they usually play 1 good OOC team and 2-3 terrible ones, fact the bottom half of the Big Ten is absolute trash, etc makes it next to impossible for OSU to lose more than 2-4 games a year.

I mean, Michigan is in a pretty similar circumstance and just lost 5.

Eh, not really - they didn't have the talent depth OSU always does and graduated literally 40 players, and they just turned on the money cannons moving forward.

That was a pretty unique circumstance. Michigan didn't have a QB. They were unable to sign one in the portal because they played late into the postseason when they won the natty.

If Michigan had even a solid QB this year they would likely be a playoff team.
