1-2-3 for Williamson in the top of the 1st on just 13 pitches.

    Another day....

Elly shouldn't try to bunt. He missed that by a foot.

India on second, EDLC fails to bunt, India caught with too big a lead. Out.

I’ve never seen a team with so many screw ups with base runners as the 2024 Reds. Sometimes it’s the runner’s fault. Sometimes it’s the hitter’s fault. Bad baseball.

Williamson strikes out the side in the second inning.

    Williamson looks good.

    I agree with you.
But if it was Marte instead of India on 2B most people in the the game thread would place all blame on Marte.

The worst part of it is, they don’t appear to be learning from these mistakes

Elly’s numbers may not totally reflect it, but he’s been bad at the plate for a bit. He’s getting on base with infield singles and some other moderately struck balls that were hit in the right place, but not barreling much and the HR power is missing.

Marte wouldn't have been on second

Adames was playing as close to the RF side as he could get, India leaned and Elly missed the bunt by a decent margin. India should have been more aware of where Adames was for sure. Elly's bunt attempt wasn't great either.
