I don't see anything wrong at all especially with trivia questions. They used to have scoreboard stumpers at Riverfront back in the day. No idea if they do that now but for me I always enjoyed that. I think we all talk abut different things when we are that ballpark. I don't see that anything different here especially if the game or team is going really bad like it has a good part of this season. I think these types of things to talk about makes for better rapport amongst us. Its better the gloom doomers or Eeyores that usually take over.

Nothing was wrong with the score board stumper, it was once a game.
Multiple triva questions per game tend to drown out the discussion of the game. Some people don't live anywhere around Cincinnati and tend to miss a game or parts of a game and they used to be able to check the game thread for what they might have missed.
They can't do that anymore
My biggest gripe with the game thread is people post reactions to what happened without telling anyone what they are talking about. Posts like "I can't believe that" or "Nice play" or "Terrible" without any reference to what they are talking about make me nuts. Even if I'm watching the game, not everyone who streams is at the same point in the game at the same time.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Good point and I never thought about the streaming differences. As far as the other general conversations, I don’t see a problem with that. Kind of like if you’re sitting with someone watching a game, you may talk occasionally about something other than baseball. Also never thought about others coming to the game thread to just read it and see what happened during the game. Theoretically couldn’t they just look at the box score/play by play, to find out what happened, instead of reading 150 or 200 posts? I’ll do whatever the majority want, but just seems a bit petty to complain about a few side conversations, not saying you did that by any means.
