Him getting right would help the depth a lot for next year.

Elly is 12th in walks in the NL, 4th in runs, and, 3rd in triples, and 6th in doubles. His continued maturity and development are frightening to think about.

Love the plate approach by Ty first two times up. 2 strikes, just smooth swings resulting in 95 and 106mph singles to center and right center. OpS over 1.000 over the last 30.

Keep him. It’s not like the Reds are silly with good players under contract.

I said on here before the season started he would get MVP votes and Win a MVP in a couple years. I now think if he avoids serious injury he will win multiple MVPs.
As I was saying this at least one maybe a couple more were calling for him to be send to the minors before the season started. Based off him struggling last September.

Was that Friedl’s first GIDP in like a year?

    2 pop ups and a K to get through 5 scoreless on 60 pitches. 3 hits, 1bb, 2 k’s.

Best we can hope for is they buy out his Arb. Years and get him for a couple extra years. He would still be around 29 and would be a free agent.
Sounds crazy but again if he avoids serious injury he has a chance to approach Ohtani contract numbers in 7 years.
Only a handful of clubs that could pay that.

Wouldn't be a ground ball DP. He lined it to the 1B men.
