This one might not start on time. Calling for rain right at 4 pm tapering off after 6 pm

Mets' Jeff McNeil 'Likely' Out for Rest of MLB Season with Wrist Injury After MRI
New York Mets manager Carlos Mendoza announced second baseman Jeff McNeil suffered a fracture to his wrist in Friday's 6-4 win over the Cincinnati Reds.

Mendoza said McNeil is "likely done for the year."

McNeil was plunked by a 74-mph curveball from Reds pitcher Brandon Williamson and his injury was initially classified as a right wrist contusion.

Many fans will have assumed he'd make a quick return to the field if he missed any additional time at all.

Looks like the Reds medical staff isn't the only MLB medical staff to misdiagnose injuries.

It took one day to make the right diagnoses, and McNeil played no games with the injury. Now compare that to the CES situation.

The assumption that medical diagnosis should be infallible always makes me laugh

It's a total crapshoot the majority of the time and it's knee deep in human interactions that muddy the water greatly

So you don't agree that the medical staff performance around the Reds, for years and years and years now, has been a total crapshoot?

Just a guess but I would say a lot of fan bases get upset at their teams medical staffs.
We only follow the Reds. But I would say this stuff happens around baseball.

2nd straight game Fraley starting against a LHP tells me he will be back in 25. Hopefully as a backup.
Benson barely playing lately tells me his days in Cincinnati are numbered.

Let's see if we can stop the hottest team in baseball. Nearly did yesterday if not for that decision about the 1st Inning Pitcher. He had a backup plan with Moll ready to come into the 1st with inherited runners, but Cruz made certain there were no inherited runners to leave stranded. Game doesn't reach the 10th innning if not for this.

I'd prefer both be gone though in 25 for upgrades. But If one has to be back. I'd take Cruz over Wilson everytime. I knew it was over as soon as I saw KC61 guy Wilson.
But I understand why Wilson pitched options were limited.

I'm happy Jesse Winker got in shape and saved his career. Wish he would have been in better shape in Cincinnati.
Liked him as a Red but I've saw his name thrown around folks wanting him back in 25.
I do not want Winker back. The Reds need a everyday middle of the order bat not a platoon guy .
