Re: 9-20-24 Reds vs Pirates 6:40 PM

    Before Yesterday's Game:

Reds starters had allowed 3 runs or fewer in each of their last 13 games since September 5 vs Houston, the longest-active streak in MLB and their longest single-season run since 8/24-9/7, 2017.

Consider: They have 5 SP on the IL (Greene-Ashcraft-Abbott-Lodolo-Williamson). They traded another (Montas). Their current rotation is 2 rookies, 2 relievers and TBA.

The fly ball to end the top 2nd that Benson caught. Steer doesn't catch.
The double by Tellez That should have been caught by Benson. I think Steer catches that one.

This team needs to find a way to keep Martinez around. Ashcraft doesn’t belong in the rotation. Abbott can’t throw more than 100 innings in a year. Lodolo is…I’ll leave it alone. Speier & Aguiar are organizational depth.

    He’s a must.

Every hitter in this org is remarkably streaky. I think France has done enough to stick, but I say that with no idea how much he’ll cost. If the price is right, we could and will do a lot worse. His glove is a lot better than I expected.

    Cool story here

The little girl who snagged that foul ball on Wednesday that went viral….she’s actually just 15 miles from me and her principal graduated with me and I grew up playing ball with her math teacher.
