He's still on the 40-man roster.

Until he isn't, he's part of the depth options.

Mey's put himself into consideration for a 2025 bullpen spot with his filthy AFL campaign. He, Zulueta, and Maxwell are likely to be the relief options stashed in AAA in case of injury or ineffectiveness. Legumina and Richardson might also play a role there. (I'd convert Richardson to closer now, fwiw, or employ him as a 2-3 inning, one-time-through guy.) Phillips could be a part of that group as well.
Mey's the perfect member for the frequent rider miles between Louisville and Cincinnati. They need several of them.

So... we've reinstated CES and he still isn't in the Fall League games. Any further information? I was at a game over a week ago where he was shagging flys before the game and didn't look like he was having any issues.

I know. I was expecting to see him play.

    This from Krall:
"He had a setback with some scar tissue," Krall said. "Nothing serious, but he should be playing [this] week. Hopefully he’s continuing to move forward in his rehab progression.”

It's amazing that Arroyo can hit so poorly even in the Arizona Fall League.

He may be a sell-high candidate right now.

Wow! Everyone is in the lineup tonight. Callihan, Arroyo, Matt Mclain and finally CES. And Acuna is pitching.

Like Game 1, but with Acuna, too.

All that matters is that he's getting playing time. What happens doesn't really matter. He can work on whatever he wants to.

Edwin Arroyo telling people to vote for Tyler Callihan for the Fall League All Stars.

Wait until the end to watch whatever the hell it is Tyler Callihan is doing with the bat.

Yesterday’s game, pretty much a nightmare for Reds hitters. But at least Callihan, Arroyo, McLain and CES were all in the lineup. The latter three need the reps after missing so much time. After the AFL, I hope Reds have a good program to help get the rust off the guys who missed virtually all of last season.
