Nobodies mentioned it yet, but Graves vultured his first win of the season.

"...its money well-spent. Don't screw around with your freedom."
--Roy Tucker, on why you need to lawyer up when you find yourself swimming with sharks.

Okay, ED. Stop there. We can't call them the Big Red Machine every year they win. We have to be more original than that. It's like yelling who-dey every time the Bengals win. Can't today's teams get their own identities already?

If Ryan Freel started the game at third base then the Reds would have scored 10 runs and would not have needed the 9th inning homer to win the game.

I still loathe the Joe Randa signing ©

And I'm not eating crow after one game!! It'll take at least one month before that point.

Okay, just checked out the AP photos. Go to this link and scroll down to the one where Griffey is hugging Cameron. Here's the caption:

When did Griffey and Cameron play together?

    True...very true.

This is the GAB, not Riverfront.

Portland? As in Oregon? If so, I feel for you. I am just 8 hours south of you in Shasta Lake, CA. I sure wish I was in Cincinnati when games like this happen.

exactly, as I said that he might when they were overchallenging him last year. I don't want to be right again, so I'm happy with today

you take steps to make sure that he doesn't overthrow, again. It doesn't mean that he won't. But you give a good player the chance to become very good. With young relief pitchers, it means that you work 'em up. Right now, he's still thinking about last year, and needs to get it out of his mind.

Reds were too fast with Wagner last year. Don't repeat it.

At least PUFFY stands by his feelings.

"Stand by your man".......as in Ryan Freel.
