I know all that - but Casey isn't hitting against anybody right now, so sitting him against a lefty (and a tough lefty) just seems to be the move.

Its obvious that Casey is pressing, and maybe putting him in against a pitcher he has had success against would snap him out of it, cause all it will take is one game with Sean, but in a slump Perez is not the guy you wanna face lefty on lefty.

Just my opinion though, I see the basis for playing him as 22 at bats is a good sample size, but I think he needs to sit and gather himself for a game, thats all.

I would rather see Lopez but I highly doubt it.

    Good point.

But when Casey struggles he is a double play machine.

Three players have carried the team on offense(Randa, Dunn and Pena).

True, but that's more a testiment to his strength overall, rather than his "weakness" against LH pitchers.

Look at Casey. His lifetime OPS against LH is .762 (although last year it was .891 and I like to think last year was more indicicative of Casey's talent level and previous years were marred by injuries)

Griffey's lifetimne against LH's is .878, last year it was .682. Ouch.

It's time for WMP to get KGJ ab's against LH's.

Lance is reporting Kearns is in the lineup and Junior is not. Still don't see an official lineup yet.

My groundless prediction: Kearns' involuntary 3-day rest will serve him well. Tonight, he erupts.

I hope he does...Love to see the of roster of Kearns, Dunn and Pena...like to see Dunn play first at somepoint to see if it is a realistic fix...of course I guess it probably isn't only based on the fact that the team was trying Kearns at third instead of moving Dunn.

Pena will be in CF and Kearns in RF.

Give JR a night off, and I thought I heard we could get some rain tonight. So more incentive just to let JR rest his legs.

    Leave Casey and Dunn in.

Joke'n Joe Randa maybe a day off and let Freel play 3rd.

    DJ at 2nd.

    Thugg Life at SS.

Well, I would still rather see Lopez in there against the lefty, but I'm glad Casey got the night off.
