Never overlook the obvious
Sean Casey has great hair.
Polanco doubles.
You can almost see the DPs coming now.

Just was looking, and Sean's never hit into more than 19 double plays in a season before, and that was his worst. Every other season has been between 11-16. So what gives this year?
Abreu singles. 1-0 Phillies.
That's an exceptional lineup RB, albeit one we are likely never to see with a guy like Miley at the helm. Batting Dunn so low in the order, batting an empty, production challenged plodder like Casey #3, sticking Kearns in the bottom 1/3 of the lineup when he does get a start, opting on your #1-2 based on their position rather than their OBP, giving Aurilia/Freel Kearns'/WMP's starts before the injury. There are a laundry list of grievances with the way Miley constructs his lineups and utilizes his personnel (and they aren't the type of petty trivialities fans like to pick apart with any manager's batting orders, they are significant and legion).Originally Posted by RedsBaron
Tonight's lineup is only slightly less inane than his typical inane lineups (i.e ones which featured Aurilia #2, no Felipe, Kearns/WMP on the bench etc... and even much of that is arguably attributable to Aurilia's injury, not intelligent design). I have no problem with DJ getting a start at 2B against a guy like Lieber tonight, though.
Ortiz is WAY up in the zone right now. Pitches right down the middle, just like Milton's HR balls have been.(Wilson too)
Abreu picked off 1B. 2 outs. Manuel out to argue.
We got a gift on that one

Burrell singles.
What a horrible call, as Abreu was safe on a pick-off attempt that wasn't even very close. You don't catch a guy like Abreu napping much, and we didn't there either. We'll take it, as Ortiz needs all of the help he can get.
Hi threadies
Agreed on the lineup... Kearns certainly isn't going to get out of his slump by batting in a position with little protection, and it makes no sense to waste Dunn's great OBP by batting him so low in the order.
