"When Jason Bay sees a straight 88 MPH fastball on the inner third of the plate, he's going to put it in the seats."

Very astute observation from the FSN Pittsburgh guys.
"...You just have a wider lens than one game."
--Former Reds GM Wayne Krivsky, on why he didn't fly Josh Hamilton to Colorado for one game.

"...its money well-spent. Don't screw around with your freedom."
--Roy Tucker, on why you need to lawyer up when you find yourself swimming with sharks.

Jack Wilson, who the Reds should have traded Dunn for straight up this offseason according to a good friend of ours, is scrappy.

Casey always looks like he's giving birth to an elephant when he's up to bat.

-Freel singles, goes to 2nd on error.

-Lopez out at first by 6 inches on a GB, Freel to 3rd

    -Casey 4 pitch walk

-For the 2nd straight game, Griffey swings at a first pitch in the dirt after a walk. Not smart hitting Griff. Griff runs the count to 3-2, sac fly to left. 1-0 Reds.

-Dunn K's looking on a 0-2 pitch. He looked great at the plate Friday night, but is slumping again.

    1-0 Reds after 1.

According to Marty...Aurilia is back from Louisville after 1 game because he said so, and was reluctant to even do 1 game of rehab

Nice to see there's people in charge of this organization...

-Kearns flyout to center. Rough series for Kearns(0-12, walk)

    -Aurilia infield single

-LaRue homers to center! 3-0 Reds

Well, Marty and the reporter of the hour (or second inning) are talking about Howsam who said that a player's ability should be gaged by RBI. Will someone on this board send him an email and argue that statement? I did, but I don't possess the knowledge that most of you do and probably didn't argue it convincingly. BTW, they didn't say but I know they were talking about Dunn as they said number of HRs should never be never be used, but rather RBI.
