We watched the Star Wars trilogy (Episodes IV -VI). Kids have never seen them before. Dad kept falling asleep though.

Really and truly a correct statement right there.

Worst result possible from last night was an Aurilia HR.

I have come to know baseball hate again. Dave Miley, Rich "Play me frickin' now or I will kill you" Aurilia and Dan OB are at the top of that list.

21 months ago, I would have bet there was no way the Reds would screw up the baseball gift of Kearns/Dunn. 10 months ago I was giggling over a future of Kearns/Dunn/Pena.

Now I am marveling at this club's apparent need for Rich Aurilia and Jason Romano.

It's like the FO and Miley are throwing games.

I promise to not start another game thread the rest of the season. Not only is there a rain delay, Miley abuses some type of mind altering substance, Aurilia starts, the Reds lose, and Dunn (and Jr) don't even play.
Will trade this space for a #1 starter.

Look, I can get sitting Griffey. We all know his injury history, we all know he can use an extra day off now and then, and a rainy night with a left-hander going for the Rockies is as good a time as any. But to also take Dunn out of the lineup, sitting them both out on the same night, and apparently giving them the night off except in case of emergency, smacks of conceding the game before it starts. And that bites.

My new nickname for Aurilia is the Godfather, because he obviously has that kind of power to continue to dictate that he starts.

Star Wars lore has it that the Force works particularly well upon the weak minded. Perhaps Aurilia is a Sith. Miley certainly appears to be weak minded as a manager, and Sith happens.
