Can't we just have this one little moment before you start bringing us back to reality? :Originally Posted by RFS62

BTW - Griffey is 4 for 6 off of Backe lifetime with 2 doubles and a homer.

You know what this means...
Dunn is only one spot away from the Bob Boone leadoff spot.
Has Narron lost his mind???
Cool
HOW will you react if FELO sits (just for the sake of an off day) and RA bats leadoff.......while RO plays SS?
Probably not well, but it is interesting to note that that's the way Bobby Cox usually handles it. He seems to like to give a player a slot in the lineup and keep them there.Originally Posted by Tony Cloninger

I dont see a problem with this. Dunn walks a ton, so if he gets on he will actually have someone to hit him in, and not have Larue or Romano batting behind him.
A manager has to worry about his relationship with his players just as much, if not more, than his relationship with the GM. In this case, Narron knows he's OK with O'Brien. He needs to establish that he's at least reasonably OK with the clubhouse, too. So, he doesn't start right out demoting Aurilia (or Casey, or whomever). It keeps the focus on the team (and the manager), rather than spotlighting potentially hacked off players, during the sensitive first few days of the transition. I think it's wise, but that's just me.He replaced Miley because "they" didn't like his results... so why would it be deemed such a horrible thing if Narron did things differently?
