Kelly, OTOH, strikes me as a pitcher who has a track record of success, and would seem to gain the most and lose the least by a promotion. If Hudson had options, Kelly would be up and Luke sent down. Another weak ground ball from Sean Casey. His GB/FB ratio is almost an even 2 right now, whereas last year it was closer to 1.3.
He is not elevating pitches because he is being pitched to induce grounders, and he continues to help opposing pitchers by swinging at bad balls.

When the Reds traded for Casey, years like 99 or 04 I thought would be normal years for him, with some years Casey hitting something like 340 30 homers and 120RBI type years. He never has lived up to that potential I thought he had. But not many of the 97-99 group traded for/drafted have.

He hasnt had an RBI in 10 games and is batting .279 in that time span.
He had a nice May... but June was atrocious. just seems familiar. During his strength rebuilding season of 2003 he had numbers like this some solid BA months, giving him decent OB numbers, and no power. Very similar to 2003 thus far.
