Cruz down swinging. Bruney with a more impressive Inning of work than anything I've seen from a Reds pitcher all year.

    Same old Reds.

"The best offense in the National League" let us down today, but hitting with RISP has been a problem (no, I'm not Marty) with this team. We must gain our tremendous statistics in blowout games because we weren't facing Cy Young out there. Lefthanders give this team problems.

Eric Milton pitched a good game, allowing two runs in 6.2 innings--all we can ask of a pitcher and in most cases with most teams it would be a winning game, but not here.

You've heard of teams that find ways to win. The Reds find ways to lose. Good pitching=no hitting. Bad pitching=plenty of runs. Unknown lefthander=loss. 4-3 in the last 7 games. At least it was interesting.

Oh, but didn't you hear Chris Welsh tell us how smart that was, thinking the guy might lay one right in there for him?

Why can't Welsh just say "boy that was dumb."
