    What an awful deal.
Marty talked about on air and ran it by Hendry when he saw and Hendry's comment was "too steep".

So I haven't read the other threads, but what did you all think of the Kearns interview on Real Reds?
Will trade this space for a #1 starter.

    Hendry's a flake.

Everytime I hear his name, I think of Joe Pesci in "Goodfellas" mispronouncing the first name of Ray Liotta's character.

Is Hendry a Cub personnel guy?

If he is and he said that....it is purely the Cubs trying to fleece the Reds.
He could not take that too seriously or himself.

He also mentioned that one night he (Sweet) was leaving the park at midnight and Austin was still out in the parking lot signing for "every kid who wanted an autograph".

Oh and he lost 10 lbs.

That would be the Cubs General Manager.

Oh, and yeah..."fleecing" would be what Hendry did to the Giants in the Jerome Williams swap.

Man...i still thought McPhail was the GM of that team. I just don't follow the GM's like i do the players.
