Griffey's on the block, that is the REAL reason why he isn't starting today, the "off day" is a good excuse no matter how the Reds try and spin it. Doubtfull anything gets done however.

Just ask Miley what Narron is doing today. He knows all about it.

the Reds have another month to trade Griffey if that's what they're up to. there's no way he wouldn't pass through waivers.

I honestly think it's just a day off.
School's out. What did you expect?

Sure he is having a day off. But he is also on the block more so than the other players. As he will be through Augest, and as Casey,Aurilia,Merker and Weathers will be to.

Wonder what he'd do for BJ Szymanski?

I'm not so sure that Weathers and Mercker need to go anywhere.

They are signed for next year for reasonable amounts.

Assuming we want to improve our pitching next season, these guys have been our best relief pitchers all season.

I'd only move them for a pretty good prospect.

I'd rather see Olmedo over RA.

This just says to the other plays "Hey not happy? tell it to the media"

I agree with the Weathers and Mercker stance. I think the Reds may be in a pinch vis. the rule of diminishing returns with those guys. They could mean less to us in trade than their current contracts/production. Dunn falls into this category.

But basically no one else does.

I really expected the Rays and Bucs to unload players. They are really stupid if they don't
