For being a NLs best offense they sure do lose alot.
The strike outs are due to the type of team the Reds are. They are big swingers, which clearly leads to high strikeout totals - but it also leads to a great deal of runs scored. Also when an offense is leading a league in runs, it can't be blamed for losing. The terrible pitching is the culprit, not the k totals. What are they supposed to do, average 6 runs game just to overcome the awful pitching???

Basepaths full with no outs for Kearns. Offense isn't looking too bad so far this inning.

If they are the NLs best offense then they should out score the other team every day.

Sadly our great offense isn't as good as our horrible pitching is bad. There's no argument that has solid stats behind it pointing to the Reds' offense as a cause for it's losing season. It's purely pitching, and I don't understand how you can justify arguing otherwise.
